Who are Cognium Creative?
We’re a freelance design group and based in Sydney. Cognium started life back in 2006 after years spent working for large companies in Australia and we’ve been thriving ever since. We’re 100% Mac-based and use the full Adobe Creative Suite to ply our trade.
What do you do?
Our in-house capabilities include Design (Identity and Logos, Illustration, Art Direction), Print (Ads, Direct Marketing and Document Layout) and Web (Websites, SEO and Google smarts, Flash and Banners). Additionally, we have several specialist on-demand freelancers in our pool who craft killer copy, develop google-tastic code and take mind-blowing photographs.
Why choose Cognium Creative?
Our background is a little different from the norm. Our past lives have been spent working within large Australian corporations in Design, Project Management, IT and Marketing departments. Because we've worked in the corporate world for years, we understand that Design is about solving business problems, not just making pretty pictures. We take the time to understand the source, the audience and the medium to make sure communication is arresting and effective. Oh, and we're 100% referral-based, which means that most of our clients know exactly what they are getting.
What do you charge?
We price our work around or just below the industry average and we are always fair and reasonable. Our emphasis is on creating outstanding work rather than being the cheapest kids on the block. To talk specifics, it's best to make contact to talk about the job you have in mind, or use our on-line form to request a quote.
What does "Cognium" mean?
It's borrowed from the collection of root Latin words based around "knowledge". You'll see elements of it in "recognise" or "cognitive”. The word conveys the related ideas of thinking, understanding and being recognised and remembered: valuable design traits.
